Support
Write any time, about a bug, a purchase, or a form you think Lucubra got wrong. Every message is read and answered.
It helps to include your iPhone or iPad model, the iOS version, and the text or topic you were on. For a mistake in the Latin, add the word, its sentence, and what you expected.
Restoring purchases
On a new device or after reinstalling, open the Me tab, then Settings, and tap Restore purchases. Lucubra Pro returns for the Apple Account that bought it, including the lifetime purchase. The Lucubra Pro screen has the same button.
Cancelling a subscription
Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Lucubra. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; you keep Pro until then. In Lucubra, Me → Settings → Manage subscription opens the same page. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Pronunciation and the Italian voice
Restored Classical, the Latin of Cicero and Caesar, is the default; Ecclesiastical, the Latin of the Church and choirs, can be chosen in Me → Settings. Every word shows its IPA for the scheme you pick.
No device has a Latin voice, so Lucubra speaks Latin with your device’s Italian voice, driven by that IPA. If you tap a speaker and nothing plays, the Italian voice isn’t installed: add it in the Settings app under Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices → Italian, and download a voice. It’s free, and Lucubra uses it right away.
Offline use
Everything works without a connection: lessons, texts, the dictionary, games and review. A connection is needed only to buy or restore Pro, and to open a word in Logeion, Wiktionary or Perseus, which open in your browser.
Your data
Lucubra has no account. Your progress, saved words and settings are stored on your device. To delete them, delete the app; to keep them on a new device, restore an iPhone or iPad backup. The privacy policy has the details.
Version
This page describes Lucubra 1.0 for iPhone and iPad, which needs iOS 18 or later. Your version is shown at the bottom of Me → Settings.
